Hey!

Kristen here. Psychotherapist who gets really excited about helping people come home to themselves. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Minessota. Along with my Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, I have training and experience in teaching SomaYoga (TT500) through Yoga North and am EMDR certified.

I live in Duluth Minnesota with my husband and needy rescue dog. Living near this Superior lake and these wild woods gives me the energy and inspiration I need so I can do the challenging work I do with my clients.

Qualifications

  • I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) as well as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the state of Minnesota. What this means is I have over 4,000 hours of experience, 200 hours of clinical supervision, ongoing educational and training requirements, and am accountable to the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy to make sure my practice is above grade. I take my work incredibly seriously and so does my board.

  • As a certified EMDR therapist, I am accountable not only to my licensing board but also held to EMDR standards of practice set by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA.) EMDR certification requires ongoing education, minimum hours of experience, and over 30 hours of professional consultation. EMDRIA is the real deal.

  • I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling from the Hazelden Betty Ford School of Addiction Studies in 2021. This is an accredited program through the Higher Learning Commission.

  • I’ve worked in a number of settings serving a broad range of individuals with varying presenting issues, symptoms, and circumstances. Places I’ve practiced: Substance use treatment centers, crisis shelters, community based mental health treatment agencies, government agencies, and private practice.
